We are seeking a skilled Vocational Evaluator to join our team at pt Health. As a Vocational Evaluator, you will play a crucial role in assisting unemployed individuals in assessing their transferable skills, employment barriers, and identifying suitable employment positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth personal interviews to assess vocational potential and complete evaluations of work experience, educational background, and medical conditions.
  • Support clients by coordinating services for rehabilitation and return-to-work plans, including interviews with physicians or other health professionals.
  • Identify and match transferable skills to current labour trends and conduct labour market surveys.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports with rehabilitation plans that adhere to defined timelines, providing expert advice for clients and stakeholders.
  • Resume building and facilitating interview skills training.
  • Conduct aptitude, interest, academic, and B-level IQ testing, and complete residual capacity determination as needed.
  • Extensive research and report writing are essential, with knowledge and experience with the NOC and Career Handbook considered highly advantageous.
  • Provide one-on-one support and group facilitation in employment preparation topics.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in vocational evaluation, vocational rehabilitation, or insurance-based settings, or experience as a Psychometrist with the ability to obtain CVRP credentials.
  • Designation of Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE), Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional with a TSA Pathway (CVRP-TSA), or Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE), alongside membership with the Vocational Rehabilitation Association in Canada, is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or other transferable post-secondary education, with a combination of education and experience considered.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
  • Knowledge of procedures and resources for assessing transferable skills, completing labour market surveys, conducting Vocational Evaluations, and community resources for providing vocational rehabilitation services.
  • Previous experience in Transferrable Skills Analysis, Vocational Evaluations, Vocational Testing, and Labour Market Survey is preferred.
  • Must have a valid BC driver's license and be located in BC or willing to relocate.
