Lead Nursing Coordinator

At Wales Home, we are seeking an exceptional Lead Nursing Coordinator to join our team. This is a permanent, bilingual position with a variable schedule of 15 to 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
Work SettingOur ideal candidate is willing to relocate for this position and has a strong understanding of the healthcare industry. We are looking for someone to work in a hospital or home for the aged setting, with a focus on geriatrics and gerontology.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the movement of patients through the healthcare system
- Employing creative problem-solving to identify opportunities for process improvement in bed assignment, transfer, patient flow, and resource utilization
- Ensuring that appropriate administrative procedures are followed
- Providing quality nursing care to patients
- Assisting in the establishment of unit policies and procedures
- Setting up and coordinating nursing services in conjunction with other health services
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- A strong understanding of gerontology and geriatrics
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A valid CPR and First Aid certificate
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
