About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Saskatoon. As a key member of our mechanical design team, you will be responsible for designing and constructing various facilities, providing conceptual design, and developing high-quality detailed designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and construction administration of HVAC, Controls, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
  • Perform HVAC calculations and analysis using industry-standard programs
  • Conduct design drawing reviews and field investigations
  • Ensure design conforms to applicable codes and client standards
  • Write and edit mechanical specifications
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design of various buildings

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 7-12 years of experience in the Buildings Engineering Industry
  • Experience in Water/Wastewater Treatment and Collection Facilities
  • Significant project experience with NFPA 820
  • Strong Consulting Industry background in Canada
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, Hydronic Systems, Controls, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems
  • Experience in LEED/Net Zero design
