Job Summary

Akhira Trucking INC is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport goods: Drive a semi-trailer truck to transport goods from one location to another.
  • Load and unload goods: Load and unload goods from the truck, following safety procedures to avoid injury or damage.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance: Regularly check and maintain the truck's condition, performing routine repairs and adjustments as needed.
  • Follow regulations: Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe and efficient journey.
  • Communicate with dispatch: Relay information to central dispatch regarding the truck's location, cargo, and any issues that may arise during the journey.
Requirements
  • AZ class license: Possess a valid AZ class license to operate a semi-trailer truck.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Hold an Air Brakes Endorsement to operate a semi-trailer truck.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Possess a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence to operate a semi-trailer truck.
  • Class 3/3F/DF Licence: Hold a valid Class 3/3F/DF Licence to operate a trailer truck.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset, but not required.
