This is a leadership role in the cosmetics category at Shoppers Drug Mart, where you will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability. You will work closely with vendors to develop and implement strategies that attract and retain customers, while also ensuring timely acquisition of products and minimizing backorders.
As a key member of the merchandising team, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in retail management and marketing to drive sales and revenue growth. You will be responsible for negotiating with vendors to secure best-in-class assortment, profitable programs, and unique promotions. Additionally, you will manage and monitor revenues to ensure balanced P&L statements.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in retail, merchandising, or marketing, and a strong understanding of quality standards relative to merchandising, marketing, and promotional practices and procedures. A post-secondary education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Retail, Marketing, Merchandising, or equivalent is required.
