Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at SS Instant Jobs Inc. in a warehouse environment. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of flooring materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport flooring materials and products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect and maintain the forklift to ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Safely secure materials on the forklift and properly stack them in designated storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory management by conducting accurate counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the forklift and surrounding storage areas.

Requirements:

  • Valid counterbalance forklift operator certification.
  • Proven experience operating a forklift, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Proficient in forklift operation techniques, including loading, unloading, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and operate in a physically demanding environment.
