Job Summary:The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes supervising staff, assigning duties, hiring and training new employees, and maintaining inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
- Hire and train new employees, or arrange for training to be provided.
- Authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Order merchandise, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that the store is well-stocked at all times.
- Establish work schedules, ensuring that staff members are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Sell merchandise, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that sales targets are met.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Manage cash, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct performance reviews, providing feedback and guidance to staff members.
- 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Reliable and dependable, with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that sales targets are met. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Language:The language of work is English.
Hours of Work:The hours of work are 30 to 35 hours per week.
