Job Title: Middle and Secondary Sciences Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional educator to join our team as a Middle and Secondary Sciences Educator. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for teaching mathematics and science to students in middle and secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics and science to students in middle and secondary school
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

  • British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate
  • Training and/or experience teaching mathematics and science
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Experience with inquiry-based and place-conscious approaches
  • Ability to create clear learning targets and provide opportunities for student self-assessment

Compensation:

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $57,972 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications.
