At CARFAX, we're on a mission to revolutionize the way we approach AI/ML platform engineering and operations. As a Senior Manager – AI/ML Platform Engineering and Operations, you'll play a critical role in shaping our strategy and driving innovation in this space.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and mentor high-performing teams of data scientists, machine learning engineers, software engineers, quality engineers, AI/ML operations specialists, and other technical experts.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize AI/ML initiatives that align with our business goals.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models, tools, and AI/ML-driven operations features.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to inform technical decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Define and drive automation initiatives in model training, deployment, and monitoring processes.
  • Establish robust evaluation metrics and KPIs to measure model effectiveness and performance.
  • Ensure AI/ML operations comply with security standards and regulations.
  • Provision governance frameworks to securely manage data privacy throughout the AI/ML lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years of experience in AI/ML.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in an MLOps or DevOps platform engineering role.
  • Experience owning and creating positive team culture experiences and events.
  • Background in building/designing scalable enterprise software.
  • Experience with AWS or other related cloud platforms.
  • Technical expertise to evaluate and debate trade-offs in building scalable architecture.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
  • Proven experience managing production operations preferably in AI/ML, including model deployment, security, scalability, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Proven track record of cross-functional project delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • A track record of communicating well with executives and non-technical leaders.
