About the Role

The Senior Budget Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the development of the City's budget and financial plans. This position will work closely with the Director, Corporate Services, to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop recommendations for budget adjustments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial data to inform budget decisions.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models.
  • Collaborate with department heads to gather information and input on budget preparations.
  • Present financial information to senior management and council members.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A university degree in accounting, commerce, or finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in finance and/or accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years' progressive experience analyzing financial data and developing recommendations.
