We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PR Pomeroy Restoration & Construction (BC) Inc. as a Construction and Restoration Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction and restoration of residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and install building components such as floors, walls, and roofs, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, and shape materials to exact specifications, using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Assemble and install fixtures and fittings such as doors, windows, and staircases, ensuring a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain and repair existing structures to ensure they are safe and secure, using a range of techniques and materials.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard, communicating effectively and providing support as needed.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in construction or restoration.
- Ability to work at heights and in a variety of environments, including dusty and outdoors conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to teamwork and communication.
