We have an exciting opportunity for a casual Cardiology Technologist position at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre located in Abbotsford, BC.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, you will perform Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, holter, and Ambulatory Blood Pressure (ABP) monitoring techniques. You will record, summarize, and interpret data for use by physicians.
You will also explain procedures to patients, answer their questions, scan and analyze ECG, stress, and holter monitor test strips, and enter patient test information into Meditech as per department protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ECG, stress testing, holter, and ABP monitoring techniques under general supervision.
- Record, summarize, and interpret data for use by physicians.
- Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions.
- Scan and analyze ECG, stress, and holter monitor test strips.
- Enter patient test information into Meditech as per department protocols.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A recognized Cardiology Technology Program diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certification.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
