Compensation: $18 – $22/ hour (full-time / permanent)

The Job – Contents Technician

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for working with customers to restore personal and commercial items to their pre-disaster state. This will involve packing and cataloging contents from disaster-affected areas, creating inventory lists, and using Encircle Restoration Software to track progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restoring personal and commercial items to their pre-disaster state
  • Packing and cataloging contents from disaster-affected areas
  • Creating inventory lists and using Encircle Restoration Software
  • Cleaning contents and structures
  • Cleaning fabrics and textiles

What We're Looking For:

  • An optimistic outlook and a genuine desire to help
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and pack boxes
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Able to satisfy On Side's criminal record check requirements
  • Ability to communicate in English or French at an intermediate level

Past Industry Experience:

Hotel, hotel housekeeper, tourism, hospitality, dry cleaning, laundry services, restaurant, restaurant manager, supervisor, server, customer service, waitress, waiter, bartender, bartending, banquet, concierge, travel, tour guide, sales, industrial or commercial cleaner, mover, packer.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

Important Note:

Disasters can strike at any time, so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after-hours on-call work is a requirement.
