About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at J & D Developments Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and supervise staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and manage ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet our quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports to inform business decisions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business strategies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on key performance indicators and operational metrics.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist with immediate settlement needs, including housing, transportation, storage, childcare, and winter clothing.
  • Support for Youths: Provide on-the-job training tailored to youth, promoting their development and growth.
  • Support for Veterans: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
