About the RoleJob Summary

We are seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care in home and community settings. You will assist patients with activities of daily living, promote independence, and provide emotional support under the supervision of our Personal Support Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care, household tasks, respite care, medication assistance, and special functions
  • Promote a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
  • Provide cognitive, social, and/or emotional support to patients
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets as determined by the care plan
Requirements
  • A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of patients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, including early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle
  • A valid certificate as a PSW, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
  • To protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, and a clear background check
