Job Title: Truck Driver

Best N' Affordable Driving School Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck and transporting goods across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate records and reporting any issues to central dispatch.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, adhering to scheduled maintenance and repair schedules.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo, adhering to company policies and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Pro-Trucker/Smart Driver (fuel efficiency) Training
Documentation Knowledge:
  • Accident or incident reports
  • Driver logbook
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Maintenance and repair reports
  • Trip reports
Security and Safety:
  • Basic security clearance
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
Experience:
  • Will train
