Job Title: Underwriter, Senior

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our team at Equitable Life of Canada. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for applying strong and holistic underwriting expertise in all areas of underwriting, including medical, financial, and non-medical risk factors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply underwriting expertise to assess and manage risk
  • Provide superior quality of work and meet service standards
  • Manage volumes of daily work independently
  • Provide a first-class client experience
  • Comply with legislative requirements and consumer regulation

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
  • Superior technical knowledge in medical, financial, and non-medical underwriting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and relationship skills
  • 3+ years of demonstrated professional experience as a Life and Critical Illness Underwriter
