Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water Treatment and Effluent Specialist to join our team at Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc. in the Athabasca, AB area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform environmental compliance testing and monitoring.
  • Assist in completing monthly reports on water and effluent systems.
  • Understand and maintain operating and regulatory requirements for water treatment and effluent systems.
  • Provide daily operational support and assistance.
  • Monitor process conditions to minimize environmental impacts.
Requirements:
  • NAIT Water and Wastewater Technician Program enrollment.
  • Current Level 1 Water & Wastewater certification or working towards it.
  • Eligibility to return to a recognized post-secondary program after summer employment.
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history.
  • Excellent problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
