About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Assurance Senior to join our team. As an Audit and Assurance Senior, you will have the opportunity to work closely with partners, managers, and other staff, and join an organization that values work/life balance and puts an emphasis on developing our people.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing and supervising engagements, primarily audits and reviews, and related tax filings within a paperless office environment.
- Identifying and resolving assurance engagement issues.
- Training and mentoring junior staff on assurance engagements.
- Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships with clients, co-workers, and all levels of staff and management.
- Assisting in the training and development of our team.
Requirements
- Ability to work in English and French.
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm working on audits and review engagements.
- A professional designation.
- Good technical knowledge of GAAP, audit and review procedures, and tax compliance.
- Computer skills, including Caseware and Taxprep.
- Strong understanding of a client-focused environment, including related deadlines, and the ability to work to meet those deadlines.
- Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
