**Job Summary**

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Stage 1 Engineering Team for the River Class Destroyer project as a Senior Electrical Systems Specialist. You will play a key role in coordinating between the UK-based engineering team and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and effective project execution.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, specifically in warship design or marine projects. Proficient knowledge in LV distribution, electrical protection systems, cable calculations, and electrical modeling is essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the UK-based electrical engineering team and external stakeholders.
  • Support the development and modification of general and special lighting systems.
  • Contribute electrical expertise for hull preservation and degaussing systems.
  • Evaluate electrical models to ensure they meet required standards and provide clear guidance on electrical requirements.
  • Ensure electrical systems adhere to all relevant safety standards, including electrical safety, and QPS protocols.

About You

  • You must hold a valid P.Eng certification or be actively pursuing one.
  • You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, comfortable troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical design issues under pressure.
  • You'll have a solid understanding of industry standards and regulations applicable to marine electrical systems, including safety standards.
  • You'll thrive in a collaborative and high-performing environment, sharing expertise and knowledge across diverse engineering disciplines.
