Support Worker Specialist

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel as a PSW, you will need:

  1. Able to proficiently communicate in English (verbal and written).
  2. Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset.
  3. Ability to travel to and from clients using public transportation or personal vehicles.

You will also need:

  1. A Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (RPN, RN, foreign-trained healthcare professional).
  2. Previous experience working as a PSW is an asset.
  3. Access to internet/mobile phone.
  4. Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  5. Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
  6. Vulnerable Sector Screen or recent Police Clearance Certificate.
  7. Driver's license and access to a vehicle is an asset.
