About the Role

This position provides expert financial guidance to the Program Manager and Supervisors, supporting the preparation, oversight, and control of annual operating and capital budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and advice to the Manager, Program Manager, and Supervisors in preparing annual operating and capital budget submissions by assisting with budget projections, forecasting cash flows, and preparing business cases and supporting documentation for review by the Section Manager.
  • Prepare specialized documentation, reports, and analysis for the Program Manager to support oversight and control of the section's operating and capital budget. Track and report expenditures and projected cash flows, assisting Program Managers, Supervisors, and Specialists in identifying and resolving variances from planned expenditures. Prepares tri-annual financial reports for the section.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Support Unit (FSU) and section staff to manage financial activities in alignment with tri-annual reporting requirements and the annual budget preparation process.
