About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer/Technologist to join our team at Integrated Sustainability. As a Junior Civil Engineer/Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting our projects and delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and oversee various technical Civil, Geotechnical and Environmental engineering tasks, including front-end, preliminary and detailed design in a variety of technical contexts.
  • Develop engineering reports, such as Design Basis Memorandums, Geotechnical Reports and Construction Completions Reports.
  • Perform site visits, site inspections and field engineering roles, and develop and implement complex engineering and field programs.
  • Foster critical relationships with clients, technical and non-technical staff, government representatives, and technology suppliers.
  • Support the development of cost estimates and schedules for project deliverables, and interface with other departments to develop and implement multi-disciplinary project strategies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience in civil engineering, and geotechnical experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited curriculum in Engineering with specialization in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Registered as an EIT with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or C.Tech designation with the Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).
  • Experience with storm and sanitary sewer design, stormwater management design and modelling, and Civil earthworks designs related to stormwater reservoirs, earthen structures, small and large earthen dams, surface water management, and roadways.
  • Excellent English communication skills, and experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports.
  • Proven leadership, business development and client communication skills.
  • Knowledge of key North American industrial sectors, such as mining or oil and gas, is an asset.
  • Legally able to work in Canada, and have a valid driver's license.
