About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating electrical project costs, assembling quantity take-offs, and developing quotation submissions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Estimate electrical project costs and develop quotation submissions
  • Assemble quantity take-offs and prepare requests for quotations
  • Obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Develop and submit tenders, meeting specialized requirements as needed
  • Analyze current practices and pricing, identify areas for cost saving and process improvement
  • Work with the Chief Estimator to develop project indirect costs and overheads for each estimate
  • Support and mentor junior estimators
About You
  • Minimum 4 years of experience estimating electrical work for projects in various market sectors
  • Relevant Electrical TQ or field experience or, AScT., E.I.T. or P.Eng status
  • Sound knowledge of the electrical sub-trades scope of work and installation methodology
  • Good understanding of electrical drawings and ability to interpret schematics and P&ID's
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral
  • Superior proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Accubid and LiveCount estimating software
  • Experience using BlueBeam, AutoCAD or BIM, an asset
