Woodcraft Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Woodcraft Specialist to join our team at Airfix Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent craftsmanship skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a permanent position working 30-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in various settings, including residential homes and industrial plants.

• To measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• To build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• To fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• To instruct apprentices
• To maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

The successful candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $50,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
