Fire Apparatus Technician

Fire Apparatus Mechanic Role
- Inspect, test, and repair all types of fire truck aerial ladders and pumps.
- Identify and complete all necessary repairs needed.
- Inspecting each unit for any defects, loose parts, etc.
- Check all repair work to ensure that equipment is in good and safe operating condition.
- Review documentation and or repair order to ensure all required information on repair order is accurate, legible, and complete.
- Record parts and equipment utilized on the repair order and ensure the parts person is aware of the stock taken.
Requirements
- Previous experience working on emergency vehicles is an asset.
- Mechanical knowledge/aptitude in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Understand and adhere to the Ministry of Transportation rules and regulations.
- Dependable, hardworking, punctual, reliable, team player with a positive attitude.
