Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team at one of our Bottling Production Facilities in Brampton. As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities within the maintenance department, working closely with production facility members.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Implement and maintain a safe working environment, promoting safety policies and guidelines through regular crew talks.
- Manage daily maintenance activities in a unionized environment, ensuring tasks are completed safely and correctly.
- Complete work orders, schedules, and timesheet approvals, maintaining employee files and ensuring daily procedures are followed.
- Support the maintenance department in planning shutdown work, reviewing parts and schedules to ensure readiness.
- Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing corrective measures to improve team performance.
- Maximize fixed asset utilization rates, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Ensure seamless communication between shifts and departments, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Comply with all Company/Plant policies and Regulatory guidelines, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Institute of Banking (AIB), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Quality and Safety Standards.
- Manage labor and operations within operating expenses (OPEX) budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Be available to work any shift and be on call as required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, with a preference for Electrical Engineering or a technical red seal diploma in Electrical.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience, with 1-3 years of work experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, with a preference for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) knowledge and experience.
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), with SAP experience an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment, with a positive attitude to build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Highly detailed problem-solving approach, with the ability to come to solutions in a timely fashion.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet target deadlines.
