Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Supply Chain Associate to join our team at LGC Group. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of inventory within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Safely retrieve, transport, and relocate storage bins containing chemical compounds from inventory during a facility move activity.
  • 5S and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles and general housekeeping standards.
  • Inventory Relocation: Collect, transport, and relocate bins containing inventory to diverse areas as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Packaging and Palletization: Perform packaging activities of bins containing chemical inventory following internal packaging processes and directions from the Shipping and Logistics Supervisor.
  • Communication: Collaborate with Finished Goods, Shipping & Logistics Supervisors, and management to ensure potentially compromised products are removed and placed in a secured quarantine area for assessment.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties and complete additional projects as assigned by Finished Goods or Shipping & Logistics Supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Education: No minimum education required; however, a College diploma with a background in Chemistry is an asset.
  • Work Environment: Spend varying amounts of time in walk-in freezers and fridge, where chemicals are stored.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while handling chemicals, including a respirator and steel toe cap safety shoes.
  • Shift Flexibility: Must have flexibility to work at our North York site and Woodbridge site.
