Job Title: Garage Door Installer Helper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Installer Helper to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As a key member of our installation crew, you will assist in the service and installation of overhead doors, working closely with our experienced technicians to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation and service of overhead doors, including D&A testing for site access or post-incident
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and work effectively in a team environment
  • Participate in out-of-town work, as required, with minimal notice
  • Focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and championing safety standards
  • Provide superior customer service and interact with warehouse staff, construction project managers, customers, other trades, and safety personnel
  • Take direction from the Lead Technician and provide support as needed
  • Actively participate in learning the trade and general warehouse duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade (construction, welding, millwright)
  • Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Any relevant safety training and tickets is an asset (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid)
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work outside in various weather conditions
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug, alcohol, and health assessment
