T-Net British Columbia is looking for a highly skilled IT Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As an IT Advisor, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks associated with Technology projects and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology regulatory compliance and audit, with a focus on cybersecurity. They will be responsible for developing and implementing risk management strategies, as well as collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
In this role, you will work closely with our Reliability Compliance team, Compliance Program Office, and other stakeholders to develop action plans to improve internal compliance processes and reduce non-compliance risks. You will also participate in project management and task coordination, as well as providing security control guidance to implementation teams to ensure both compliance and security requirements are met.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a minimum of 15 paid vacation days and flexible work models. Additionally, you will have access to training and development courses to help you grow your skills and career.
To be successful in this role, you must have a university degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, as well as a minimum of 7 years of experience in Technology regulatory compliance/audit, with a strong focus on cybersecurity. You must also possess excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to translate technical risks and controls into clear business language.
