About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at UNIFOR CONSTRUCTION INC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
  • Develop and submit tenders and quotations for construction projects
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Coordinate and schedule work on construction sites
  • Conduct site surveys and ensure accurate building levels
  • Train and supervise apprentices and other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials for construction projects
  • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other technology systems
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 hours of work per week
