We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at UNIFOR CONSTRUCTION INC.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
- Develop and submit tenders and quotations for construction projects
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Coordinate and schedule work on construction sites
- Conduct site surveys and ensure accurate building levels
- Train and supervise apprentices and other workers
- Estimate costs and materials for construction projects
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other technology systems
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures
- 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- English language proficiency
- 35 hours of work per week
