We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Anaesthetic Nurse/ODP to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care throughout the surgical journey.
Main Duties- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team in theatres, including pre-assessment, day surgery, and recovery, to ensure patients have a safe journey throughout the perioperative period.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment, ensuring a safe environment for patients undergoing day surgery procedures.
- Participate in the development of local policies and procedures, contributing to the improvement of patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with the anaesthetic team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including pre-operative assessment, anaesthesia, and post-operative recovery.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Participate in the multi-disciplinary decision-making process regarding changes in patient care and order of operating lists.
