Position Overview

Green Metal Roofing & Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a dedicated Metal Roofing Specialist with a strong background in the installation and repair of metal roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have significant experience and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal education required, but relevant experience is essential.
  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in the roofing industry.
Work Environment
  • Work at heights in various outdoor settings.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions.
Job Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to assess project requirements.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for the installation and maintenance of metal roofs.
  • Install sheet metal flashings to ensure waterproofing.
  • Set up and dismantle scaffolding and other support structures.
Team Leadership

Supervise a small team of 3-4 workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Required Certifications
  • Completion of Working at Heights training.
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
Specialization

Experience with skylight installations is an asset.

Transportation Requirements

A valid driver's license is necessary for travel to various job sites.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Tasks may include bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Must be capable of handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg or 100 lbs).
  • Repetitive tasks requiring good hand-eye coordination.

Work Conditions

This is a permanent position with a standard work week of 40 hours. The primary language of work is English.
