About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician to join our Hospitalist team at Rutgers University. As a Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with consultants and subspecialists to manage admitted patients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and possess strong clinical judgment. They will also be committed to delivering comprehensive care, supporting a team-based approach, and working collaboratively with case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage admitted patients to the hospitalist medicine service
  • Collaborate with consultants and subspecialists to provide comprehensive care
  • Support a team-based approach, inclusive of communication with case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Work extensively with case management, social work, bed management, and pharmacy teams to assist in patient and family communications and care planning

Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree required
  • Board eligible in Internal Medicine and/or Family Medicine preferred
  • Willingness to work 7-on / 7-off model of employment
