About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at COBS BREAD. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Operational Tasks: Operate machinery, draw up production schedules, and organize and maintain inventory.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Bake shop environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, reliable, and a team player.
