About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Produce Clerk to join our team at Urban Grocer. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their produce needs, answering questions, and making recommendations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure a clean and organized store environment.
  • Stockroom Operations: Receive and process produce shipments, rotate stock, and maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
  • Point of Sale: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Work Experience: Previous experience in a retail or produce-related environment is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, organization, reliability, and a team player attitude are essential.
