About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Environmental Impact Specialist to join our team at FNX-INNOV. As a key member of our Environmental Department, you will be responsible for coordinating, controlling, and supervising activities related to environmental impact studies, including environmental assessments and permit applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit validation of applicability, examination, ministerial authorization, or conformity declaration;
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise a multidisciplinary team in the execution of mandates in accordance with established norms, laws, and regulations, and within the set deadlines;
  • Determine priorities, define objectives, inform expectations, verify work, evaluate performance, identify training and development needs, and ensure the maintenance of discipline expertise;
  • Prepare service offers, respect budgets, deadlines, and quality of deliverables;
  • Be a privileged interlocutor with our clients to direct mandates and propose solutions to their problems;
  • Exploit a network of contacts in the field, seek business opportunities, and participate in solicitation or marketing activities of the firm;
  • Maintain and develop expertise in environmental authorizations;
  • Participate, as an expert, in the realization of international mandates within multidisciplinary teams of Artelia;
  • Ensure the follow-up of professional services contracts;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, geography, land use planning, or other natural sciences (Master's degree in environment, land use planning, or a related discipline is an asset);
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental impact studies and authorizations;
  • Relevant experience as a project manager in the industrial or mining sector, or in energy or transportation infrastructure is an asset;
  • Desired skills: management, integration, communication, and leadership abilities;
  • Thorough knowledge of environmental laws and regulations (LQE, REAFIE, LÉI, RAMHHS, etc.);
  • Excellent writing and synthesis skills;
  • Experience in project management and participation in multidisciplinary teams;
  • Aptitude for presentation to the public, consultation, and representation;
  • Bilingual (French and English is an asset);
  • Health card and general safety certificate on construction sites ASP (an asset);
  • Own a vehicle and a valid driver's license;
