Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day planning and coordination of maintenance tasks, ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Manage the maintenance schedule using a CMMS to keep repair records up to date and generate reports for tracking performance.
  • Create and maintain preventative maintenance plans based on manuals and equipment requirements, ensuring work orders are generated with detailed instructions and timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Tool Crib team to ensure efficient parts and inventory management.
  • Coordinate external contractors for maintenance services, scheduling visits, maintaining documentation, and ensuring contractors meet company standards.
  • Support maintenance supervisors with staffing schedules and task allocation, assisting in aligning maintenance activities with production schedules.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize preventative maintenance standards to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in various projects and take on additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager to improve overall maintenance processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related major required.
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Planner, Coordinator, or similar role within a food or CPG manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and experience with CMMS or similar asset management systems.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and maintenance processes, hands-on mechanical troubleshooting skills a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing maintenance activities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and departments.
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or Mechanic an asset.
