Role Overview

The Global Physical Security Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of enterprise-level Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) systems. This includes overseeing access control systems, intrusion detection, video management, and visitor management systems. The specialist will collaborate closely with Corporate Physical Security management to uphold compliance with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support for security technology solutions, emphasizing scalability and automation.
  • Ensure that PSIM systems adhere to industry regulations and company protocols.
  • Advise on the design and maintenance of security installations, including intrusion detection and video management systems.
  • Collaborate with Regional Security Managers to integrate local security requirements into standardized solutions.
  • Guide the establishment of system health monitoring standards, including Security Hardware Assessments.
  • Assist in the development of design playbooks and integration standards for enterprise security systems.
  • Manage the resolution of system issues, including monitoring alerts and maintaining regular updates.
  • Support regional leads in managing vendor relationships and service agreements related to security technology.
  • Identify and execute installation and maintenance tasks that align with preventative maintenance plans.
  • Maintain documentation on operational performance metrics for PSIM systems.
  • Provide strategic guidance for system expansions and upgrades.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
    • Designing, installing, and maintaining technical security systems in various environments.
    • Proficient use of personal computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.
    • Interpreting complex technical documentation and procedures.
    • Knowledge of IP-based security and communication systems.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of LAN and WAN systems.
  • Skills in computer-aided design and documentation.
