Key Responsibilities- Procurement and Sourcing
- Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers.
- Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain.
- Supervise the work of other buyers to ensure efficient procurement processes.
- Product Knowledge
- Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and products.
- Develop and maintain product knowledge to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Administrative Tasks
- Manage and maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and supplier information.
- Prepare and submit reports on procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
