Aerospace Structural Assembler Opportunity

AAA Canada is seeking an experienced Aerospace Structural Assembler to join our team in a dynamic and exciting environment.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a minimum of 3 years experience in structural assembly and installation, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent knowledge of reading drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for structural installation, assembly, and subassemblies of aircraft systems, parts, and components for assigned projects and station areas.
  • Use technical data and instructions provided by the client/aircraft manufacturer.
  • Use templates and position components from PVA, engineering service drawings, or any other materials provided by the methods department.
  • Read and interpret plans or the manufacturing file.
  • Adapt work to various types of assembly: large/small components.
  • Adjust and use manual or automated machines and tools according to the work to be done.
  • Assemble metal and/or composites parts according to technical specifications provided by the client.
  • Install required fasteners; drill holes; ensure the right products are being used for assembling (bolts, tempered or mechanical rivets, screws, or accessories for fixing, supporting, or hanging components and sub-sets).
  • Ensure conformity of assemblies with respect to the manufacturing file.
  • Inspect and check installed units, parts, and equipment to ensure fit, performance, and compliance with standards defined in technical documentation.
  • Comply with quality standards, production rates.
  • Respect health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Report any discrepancies or irregularities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position (as an assembler) in the field of aeronautics.
  • Vocational diploma in aeronautical structure assembly or equivalent.
  • Excellent knowledge of reading drawings.
  • Dexterous.
  • Quick mind and strong attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism (French-English) in oral and written communication is an important asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the client site and technical documentation.

Salary Estimate:

$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
