Job Title: Support Worker - Group Home

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Western Human Resource Corp. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to document client progress and needs.
  • Assess clients' relevant skill strengths and development needs, and implement life skills workshops to support their growth.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to ensure clients are meeting their goals and provide ongoing support as needed.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of specific services within the community, including housekeeping activities and food preparation.
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, and implement behaviour management programs to promote positive outcomes.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers involved with clients to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research, and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs.
  • Screen, recruit, and train volunteers and support staff to enhance the team's capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Behaviour management Certification.
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis training.
  • Intensive behavioural intervention Certification.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
  • Medication Administration Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
