Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust Disaster Recovery program that ensures business continuity and IT availability.
  • Collaborate with IT/Project Management colleagues and vendors to ensure technical assets are resilient and systems are built with DR requirements embedded.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Disaster Recovery projects, leveraging current technologies and project management methodologies.
  • Work with incident management and BC/DR professionals to deliver timely information, provide mentorship, and lead responses to planned or unplanned events.
  • Develop, schedule, and conduct DR exercises, leveraging Manulife's global scale to improve exercise processes and recoverability of systems.
  • Maintain recovery plans in an enterprise BCM planning system, adhering to Global standards and sharing best practices with peers.
  • Identify areas of program improvement and drive execution through special projects and working sessions.
  • Provide reporting metrics, including Key Risk Indicators, compliance reporting, and dashboards.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years' experience in Disaster Recovery, encompassing data centre infrastructure, core infrastructure, network, storage, etc.
  • Understanding of VMware Cloud technologies and recovery alternatives.
  • Experience using Fusion Risk Management tool, Archer, and ServiceNow is an asset.
  • Financial Services industry experience preferred.
  • Professional certification in BCM (ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, or MBCP) is a plus.
