Senior Accounting Professional

Ponterio Developments Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for:
- Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll
- Calculating fixed assets and depreciation
- Maintaining general ledgers and financial statements
- Posting journal entries
- Preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports
- Preparing trial balance of books
- Reconciling accounts
You will also be responsible for maintaining computerized bookkeeping systems, including Jonas Software and accounting software. Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word is also required.
In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be reliable, organized, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
