We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Planted Meals Ltd. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to the highest standards, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook meals to order, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and management to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet demand.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation methods.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and management to ensure smooth service.
- Basic math skills, to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and stand for long periods of time.
- Fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity.
- May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- May be required to work in a hot kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat and steam.
