Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager role is tasked with overseeing, organizing, and executing specialized financial activities related to the management of ledger accounts and the formulation of financial statements and reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver monthly and annual comparative financial data to leadership for strategic planning and to promote ongoing enhancements.
  • Establish and uphold cost and profit assessments for both new and existing product lines, producing monthly cost analyses and trends.
  • Maintain and propose improvements for a robust information system to evaluate financial and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership in managing and directing resources effectively.
  • Advise on and maintain a system of internal controls.
  • Coordinate and engage in the development of the Five Year Annual Business Plan.
  • Ensure that all roles within the department are filled with qualified personnel.
  • Guarantee that all statutory financial responsibilities, including audits, taxes, and other governmental filings, are executed promptly and efficiently.
  • Be available for special corporate projects as required.
  • Ensure timely completion of employee performance evaluations.
  • Engage in the quotation process.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in business administration, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • A CPA designation is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three to five years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Capability to prepare financial summaries and assess the financial health of the organization.
  • Ability to formulate appropriate budgets and analyze financial records.
  • Competence in making sound financial decisions and adjusting accounting procedures as necessary.
  • Skill in notifying and reporting to senior management about any trends crucial to the organization's performance.
  • Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and accountants, serving as a liaison between various departments.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software applications, including Excel, IFS, and SAP BPC, is advantageous.
  • Commitment to continuously update knowledge of all organizational accounting practices through seminars, webinars, and professional conferences as needed.
