About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist (PhD) to join our Adult Mental Health & Addictions team. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering time-limited, evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to adults with Tier-3 mental disorders and substance use disorders.

The successful candidate will work within a Stepped Care framework, guided by disorder-based clinical care pathways. You will participate in a consultation group to ensure collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments.

About You
  • PhD in clinical psychology or Psy.D. degree
  • Current registration as a Psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP) or current listing on the Candidate Register under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience working with an adult population, providing time-limited, evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments
  • Demonstrated skills in DSM diagnosis and applying time-limited, evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for mental disorders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles, clinical care pathways, and outcomes monitoring
  • Experience in providing supervision to psychology residents, students, and peers
  • Ability to synthesize information, problem-solve, and utilize good judgment in decision-making
  • Commitment to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
Hours
  • Permanent Part-Time (50%) position; 37.5 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives

Pyschologist PhD (Candidate Register): $56.46 hourly

Pyschologist PhD (Registered): $62.74 hourly
