Extreme Networks is a global leader in cloud-driven networking solutions, trusted by over 50,000 customers worldwide. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Security Engineer to join our security team and contribute to the development of industry-leading products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in security standard validation initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as FIPS-140, LINCE, and Common Criteria.
  • Develop system software that meets security requirements, analyzing system logic and cryptographic algorithms for compliance and efficiency.
  • Perform comprehensive security analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities and strengthen overall system security.
  • Design and develop software independently in an Agile environment, participating in code reviews and providing feedback to peers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software components, taking ownership of software modules and providing work estimates, documentation, and implementation.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in C/C++/Python for real-time, embedded systems development.
  • 1+ years of experience developing real-time embedded applications for Linux.
  • Knowledge of FIPS 140, LINCE, and Common Criteria requirements.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic encryption algorithms, key exchange algorithms, hashing/message authentication algorithms, PKI, random number generators, and OpenSSL.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience using Agile, Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development.
