Gurjyot Truck Repair is seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Your expertise in gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG) and ability to interpret welding process specifications will be essential in ensuring high-quality results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, with experience in operating gas welding machines and hoisting and lifting equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Interpret welding process specifications and determine weldability of materials
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment and gas welding machines

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in welding
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
