Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:
">- We are seeking an experienced Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Trenton, Canada.
Job Description:
">- As a Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks on rotor wing aircraft to ensure they meet airworthiness standards.
- You will inspect and release maintenance work for contracted support, using approved repair/modification procedures and consulting internal procedures, OEM technical data, and work package instructions.
- You will position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points.
- You will inspect completed work to identify any needed rework before submitting for final release inspection, ensuring that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
- You will perform serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
- You will complete work package documentation after finishing all designated operations.
- You will submit completed work to Quality Assurance for final/in progress inspection and recertification of airworthiness.
- You may be required to work shifts/weekends as needed.
- You will frequently operate dangerous machinery requiring safety equipment such as safety eyeglasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hard hats.
- You will constantly be exposed to noise, fumes, gas, chemicals, dust, or dirt.
- You may occasionally be exposed to extreme temperature or humidity.
Requirements:
">- You must hold a valid Transport Canada AME 'S' Type license or Military ACS training on helicopters.
- You should have at least 3 years' experience in structures.
- You must be self-motivated and able to process complex systems and logically think through problems.
- You should be results-oriented with a focus on quality.
- You should be efficient in the use of electronic or paper-based manuals and able to navigate vendor data to find necessary information.
- You should have knowledge of aviation standards.
- You should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- You should be able to take direction and follow instructions.
- You may need to lift materials up to 30 lbs while working on the shop floor.
- You must have the legal right to live and work in Canada.
Compensation:
">The estimated salary for this role is $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
